FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What are Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers are a non-surgical way to enhance the appearance of your lips by altering the shape and size of your lips. By choosing a lip filler injection it avoids all the negative aspects of surgery while providing life-changing results. By strategically injecting dermal fillers to targeted areas, we can build upon your natural features to deliver stunning results. At CLEAGE CLINIC, we use only the highest-quality lip enhancement fillers to maximize patient satisfaction and safety.

  • What is used in your Lip Fillers?

Our dermal lip fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, as it has been proven to be the safest and most effective lip filler available. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the body, so you don’t need to worry about using dangerous chemicals or materials to boost your appearance.

Collagen and fat injections are two other methods quite commonly used for lip fillers. However, as their results are usually less consistent, we enthusiastically side with hyaluronic acid.

  • How long do Lip Fillers last?

Most of our lip filler clients report seeing noticeable results for about half a year. But many clients are happy with the results for up to a year or even longer. The duration of your results will depend on several factors. These include:

    • Age
    • Activity level
    • Lifestyle and habits
    • Amount of lip filler injected

This duration of lip fillers will also depend on the specific location of the filler as well as the other factors listed. When you begin to notice some changes which you would like enhanced, this would be a good time to come in for a follow-up appointment to review and decide on whether a top-up treatment or a slight shape or volume change would be preferable.

  • How are Lip Fillers applied?

At CLEAGE CLINIC dermal filler is carefully and strategically injected with ultrafine needles into your target lip areas. There is no need for incisions or any other surgical procedure to take place. No scarring and no anesthesia are needed. However, we do provide local numbing cream which is available to provide maximum patient comfort so that it is almost unnoticable whilst your lip filler is being injected.

  • Why choose CLEAGE CLINIC for my Lip Fillers?

As we've already mentioned patient well being is our priority and we use the safest dermal fillers available.

As well as the procedure being carried out by properly qualified consultants at CLEAGE CLINIC we have the added ability to follow nay dermal filler treatment with a cool laser to reduce nearly all any swelling or bruising so you are able to walk out of our clinic with total confidence.

  • What is the recovery period following Dermal Lip Fillers?

Unlike cosmetic surgery, there is virtually no patient downtime for dermal fillers. You can usually leave our clinic and return to your normal routine immediately. You can lightly apply a little ice to the affected area if there is any discomfort. To aid in full recovery, we advise avoiding putting on lipstick for at least a few days to ensure you don’t apply too much pressure on your lips. Don't worry about trying to remember everything. We will provide you with a full list of instructions to ensure your results are amazing.

For some patients, there can be minor bruising or a little swelling. However, these both fade within a few days. If you have any concerns at any time, we are available to answer any questions you might have.

Naturally, your body will break down the dermal filler; when that occurs, you can always come in for a touchup. For this, we advise returning to Cleage Clinic so you can build upon your previous experience and goals. One of the advantages of lip fillers is that you can try out slightly new looks with each session, further customising your lip enhancement to meet your aesthetic values.

  • What's the difference between Botox and Dermal Fillers?

A very simple explanation is that Botox works by relaxing muscles by blocking nerve signals which would otherwise result in muscle expansion. If you imaging when you tense a muscle it expands and if two or more nearby muscles are doing the same thing by each other they will cause a furrow between them, which is how wrinkles are formed.

Dermal fillers on the other hand aim to fill up any gaps which form due to collagen depletion associated with the ageing process.

There have been a number of well-publicised celebrity aesthetic procedures which have gone wrong. Mostly due to excessive amounts of fillers being applied to areas that look natural.

Our expertise is in applying the right procedures to the right areas to ensure you get the results you want as naturally as possible.

  • Which is better Botox or Fillers?

A good aesthetic practitioner should say both. Effectively combining the use of both in the right areas in the right amounts should provide you with an outcome that is both effective but natural.

  • What's the difference between laser and electrolysis hair removal?

Both forms of hair removal are growing in popularity and are effective in reducing the growth of hair follicles below the surface of the skin. Electrolysis is generally a more painful procedure that sends an electric current down the hair follicle to prevent it from growing.  It will also require more sessions as it needs to attack live hair follicles, so those dormant at a session won't be treated at that time.

Most lasers work by emitting light through the hair follicle, which is absorbed and converted to heat which damages the follicles.

  • Can laser hair removal be used on any skin type?

Yes - the system we use at Cleage Clinic is an Nd Yag laser which operates at wavelengths which allow it to easily reach the base of hiar follicles regardless of the skin type. We have conducted many laser hair removal sessions with all ethnicity skin types, for both men and women, and all have had excellent results.

  • Do all laser hair clinics offer the same treatment?

Whilst the process and opperation of applying the laser treatment will be very similar from one laser hair clinic to another. not every clinc will be useing the same laser equipment. Here at Cleage Clinic we use the most up to date laser - the ND Yag laser hair removal system. This laser benefits from using the latest research to provide the best hair removal. The ND Yag laser will go deeper into the skin so its effectiveness is not influenced by skin types ro hair colours and yet is the technology allows it to be used in sensitive skin areas so is perfect for complete body and face hair removal.

  • Is laser hair removal effective on all hair colours including grey or white?

Many laser hair and IPL hair removal systems will struggle with white or very light hair as they use the pigment in the hair to absorb the light through the hair follicle. The ND Yag laser used at Cleage Clinic penetrates deeper to the based of the hair follicles blood supply, so it will be effective on any hair colour.

  • After how many laser hair clinic treatments before I notice a difference?

You should begin to notice by both feeling and seeing visible results after just 2-3 treatments. After further sessions, you will really start to notice smaller and less noticeable hair growth.

  • How permanent is laser hair removal? Will I need repeat sessions?

Depending on the hair removal system and the number of sessions you may have had will determine whether you may never need a repeat session or two every now and then. The laser system we use at Cleage Clinic has been tested and monitored and has provided the best result for most individuals having permanent hair removal results.

  • Are there any possible side effects to laser hair removal?

Many different laser hair removal systems have been rigorously tested over the years, and results have shown no known risks associated with laser hair reduction. However, as with many treatments and activities it is recommended that you do not undergo treatment if you are pregnant.

  • What does a non surgical BBL do?

It is a non-surgical buttock augmentation, which means enhancing the shape of your bum. Buttocks tend to change in form and lose volume over time, and this phenomenon is entirely normal and natural and happens because of reasons like:

    • Ageing
    • Gravity
    • Weight fluctuations

While this is not a medical condition, it still bothers many women and men as it can make them self-conscious about their appearance, especially during the swimsuit season. This non-surgical procedure improves the appearance of your bottom, as it has become a trendy alternative to more invasive types of treatment. It is minimally invasive as it is an injectable form of therapy that helps enhance the shape of your butt - especially designed for body contouring and reshaping.

  • How long does a non surgical bum lift take?

Depending on factors such as the treatment site, depth of the injection and amount of filler used can differ accordingly. This effective and painless treatment takes about 25 to 30 minutes to complete.

  • How long does non surgical bum lift last?

Once you have completed the course of treatments you can expect your bum lift to last 1 to 2 years. Since our process of butt lift injections is safe and relatively quick, many clients schedule an annual session to maintain shape and firmness.

  • How much does a Brazillian bum lift cost?

The cost of any bum lift will depend on the lift size and shaping required, as a large component of the cost will be the amount of Macrolane required. Clearly, this will be influenced by your current bum size and shape. As a result, it is essential to arrange an appointment to discuss all options, including pricing.

  • How do I know I'm suitable for a non surgical bum lift?

Butt fillers may be a suitable option for you if you can relate to one or more of the following:

    *noticeable hip dips.

*mild skin laxity in your buttocks.

*add more volume to your butt.

*improve the shape or silhouette of your buttocks.

*reverse the signs of ageing on your butt.

It is an especially suitable way to avoid the risks associated with surgical techniques. During your free consultation, the doctor will discuss your goals and expectations before proceeding with the treatment. Afterwards, they can decide the technique that suits your needs and provide optimal results.

  • What are the benefits of a BBL?

*a non-surgical, minimally invasive, safe, effective, and pain-free treatment.

    *Natural-looking and instant results

  • Is Botox the same as a Facelift?

Botox can be used to affect a Facelift, but the use of the terms Facelift has become more blurred over the years and across countries. In its true sense, a Facelift is a surgical procedure requiring anaesthesia, and therefore, it comes with the associated risks with any form of surgery.  Botox, on the other hand, is applied via injections which are non-surgical and can be done quickly and at a fraction of the cost. Botox provides temporary results that need to be repeated to maintain results. It is ideal for wrinkles but cannot be used to reduce excess sagging skin.

  • What areas can Botox be applied to?

Botox can be applied to a number of areas around the body to effect benefits other than simply aesthetic. Botox is most commonly applied around the face, but it can assist with migraines and sweating. However, the important thing is that you cannot simply say it is primarily suitable for use around the face, as there are a number of facial areas where Botox should not be used or only applied in a very specific way.

This is why you should only seek Botox or Dermal Filler treatments by qualified medical professionals to ensure your treatment is safe and has no side effects.

  • What is Botox?

Botox is the most widely used anti-wrinkle treatment in the world; it’s a well-known brand name for (short for Botulinum Toxin) which is an injectable anti-ageing treatment. Many people around the world have benefited from the

numerous cosmetic and medical applications derived from Botox.

Botox is a prescription-only drug primarily used as an anti-ageing treatment. It is injected into the face to relax the targeted facial muscles, improving the skin's appearance by reducing wrinkles. Other uses for Botox in non-cosmetic procedures include the treatment of migraines and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Botox treatment is very safe when used by qualified and experienced doctors, which will be the case for Botox in Bradford at the Cleage Clinic.

  • Who is Botox ideal for?

Botox is a popular choice for both men and women who are looking to improve their appearance by focusing on reducing winkles and frown lines. Mostlooking to improve their appearance by wrinklesMost lookingageing commonly, this will be around the face and neck, which show the most signs of aging early on.

Botox treatment, for cosmetic purposes, is only recommended for people 18 years or older and is popular and suitable for any gender or ethnicity.

  • How does Botox work?

For anti-ageing treatment, Botox is injected into the patient’s face, which relaxes the contraction of facial muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Normally between 3 to 7 days after this treatment, the facial muscles relax; this, in turn, softens and reduces wrinkles and creases in the skin. Unfortunately, Botox treatment is not permanent, so to maintain a consistent look, it’s better to schedule re-treatments every few months to prevent further wrinkles from appearing. With re-treatments, each injection should also reduce the depth of any new wrinkles. So, in this respect, you can easily delay the appearance of wrinkles by using Botox treatment as a preventative measure, with a facial treatment only taking about 15-20 minutes.

  • Is Botox safe?

Yes. Botox is completely safe and has been used cosmetically for well over fifteen years now, with no unexpected negative effects to which many satisfied clients will attest.

  • Are there any negative side effects to Botox use?

Most people experience no side effects, but as every individual's make-up is slightly different, some may experience something. The most common side effects following Botox injections are mild pain or tenderness just around the point of injection, which would be the case with most injections. This should disappear within 48 hours. Very occasionally, the treatment may cause other muscle groups to relax, making drooping eyebrows or eyelids appear.

This is very rare and should subside within a few weeks.
